Driving Directions

To reach the Dades Valley by car from Marrakech, start by heading southeast on the N9 road towards Ouarzazate. As you leave the bustling city behind, the road gradually winds through the majestic High Atlas Mountains, offering panoramic views of rugged terrain and traditional Berber settlements. Continuing along the N9, you’ll pass through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, the highest mountain pass in North Africa, where the road twists and turns amidst towering peaks before descending into the valleys below.

After descending from the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, continue on the N9 towards Ouarzazate until you reach the town of Skoura. Here, take a right turn onto the R704 road, following signs for Kelaat M’Gouna and the Dades Valley. The R704 will lead you through the stunning Rose Valley, where fragrant rose bushes bloom in abundance, filling the air with their sweet scent. As you journey further along the road, you’ll gradually ascend into the Dades Valley, where the landscape transforms into a dramatic combination of towering cliffs, lush oases, and winding riverbeds.
